The next winter Olympic games are being held in Sochi Russia from Feb. 7 - Feb. 23, 2014. These are the 22 Olympic Winter Games.

This will be the first time that the Winter Olympics have ever been held in Russia. These games are the most compact on record because all of the events are held very close to each other, so spectators and athletes can easily get from event to event.

11 venues are being built for the Sochi 2014 Games and they are divided into two clusters—mountain and coastal.

Each cluster will have an Olympic Village which is within 5 minute drive from the venue.
