The Beijing Dance Academy also known as Beijing Dance Institute is the only school that offers higher education in dance in China. It offers Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees and specializes in performance, choreography and dance studies.
There are 2,000 dance students in the program with 500 teachers. It is a very competitive dance program to get into and an examination is required for admission.
Not only is traditional Chinese dance and Western Modern dance taught at the Beijing Dance Academy, but a large portion of the student population focus on ballet.
