Swimming Under Ice

Swimming Under Ice - World Record

Don’t like to swim when the water is too cold?  Then you won’t believe this guy.

Wim Hof is known as the Iceman.  He is a Dutchman that has broken all kinds of records in the cold and ice, including the longest swim under ice.  Here is more about his training & how he does it.

Dutchman Wim Hof set the world’s record of 57.5 metres or 188.6 feet, for an under ice swim in sub zero temperatures.  The record was set in Finland, near the village of Kolari, under 3 feet of ice.

Don't do something this dangerous or crazy yourself, but there are plenty of ways of sanely going after various world records.
