Cowabunga, dude! Summer is our favourite season! Going to the beach, body boarding, building sand castles, playing beach volleyball. We love making up silly jumps off of Sloane’s diving board.
Use sunscreen to protect your skin while near the water.
Get 70 SPF protection for kids of all ages.
Whether you hope to be a champion diver, or do the biggest cannonballs, we found some great videos showing cool things others are doing in the water. Gnarly!
Some popular water sports include swimming, either in pool or in open water like oceans, lakes and rivers. You can do water aerobics, play marco polo, dive for coins or other items, do water gymnastics and play other fun water sports games.
Water skiing is really fun - especially if you area squirrel! (see video).
For more exploration, try snorkelling or getting your scuba diving certification.
In Canada, hockey is year round, so even when in the pool some Canadians play underwater hockey where you use short curved wooden sticks and a heavy "puck" that glides along the pool bottom as players wearing snorkelsm masks and fins try to score on each others end of the pool while having to come up for air here and there. How about some scuba underwater hockey?
Other popular water sports are surfing, canoeing, boating, bodyboarding and body surfing, jet skiing, kayaking, parasailing, sailing and rowing, wakeboarding, windsurfing and water skiing.
