Celebrations in November

November 15th is a day of celebration in Japan called Shichi-go-san.  Children put on formal wear and their traditional kimonos.  5 year old boys, as well as 3 and 7 year old girls, are blessed at a shrine.

November 1st and 2nd is a holiday in Mexico called Los Dias de los Muertos – or the days of the dead.  It is a holiday to honour people who have died, and Mexican people dress up as ghosts, skeletons and mummies and offer food and drink to the dead.
