Pakistan is a country in South Asia, It is the sixth largest country in the world. It became a nation independent from India in 1956. Pakistan is an Islamic Republic and has the world's second largest Muslim population.
The night before, or during many weddings in Pakistan, dancers will perfom a special dance. Mehndi, or henna tatoos, are often applied to brides, and sometimes bridegrooms, before wedding ceremonies.
There is evidence that mehndi as a ceremonial art form originated in ancient India. This is one version of the dance performed at a Pakastani wedding.
