Anastasia Liukin

Anastasia Liukin Routine

Nastia has won 5 Olympic medals, and was the 2008 Olympic all around champion.  She has also won 4 World Championships, 4 US Championships, and many other titles.

The video shows day one where her first pass was not as good, so the pressure was on for the second pass which she performed awesomely.

She is inspiring to gymnasts around the world. It takes alot of focuse and dedication to land all of the parts of the routine. She also has to time everything to the music.

Wow. The crowd goes wild as this seems to be one of her best floor routine performances.

For the London 2012 Olympics, Anastasia wanted to defend her gold medal as she is one of the top American athletes. She had taken a break from competitions over the last years, so she needs to regain her strength and focus to be in top form for London. She also had a right shoulder injury which made her pare down her routine a bit. Now she is back at the parallel bars and the beam.

Unfortunately she missed the bar during the Olympic trials and was eliminated, but aside from her fall, Liukin finished 10th on the uneven bars and seventh on the beam during the June 2012 trials. She will attend NYU and also will go to the Olympic games as a representative for the Federation of International Gymnasts. As with all the ups and downs in sports, when one door closes, another one opens and she will continue to make us all proud of all of her achievements and accomplishements.
