Slalom Training
Slalom Training
Slalom is a type of downhill race where you have to go between the gates that are set up on the course. Giant slalom has gates that are much further apart – combining slalom and downhill.
Whatever sports you do, you have to train and work hard to get to be a top athlete – like these Austria ski kids in Villach. (If you are just happy to make it down the hill without falling – that’s ok too!)
Slalom training is sometimes even done in the summer months without snow, but just sticks in a hill where you move in and out to keep up muscle conditioning. In the off season, ski enthusiasts may travel to other parts of the world such as South America to continue training on snow covered hills.
