If you don’t get enough sleep, your grades can suffer, you can have problems you’re your weight and obesity, and more. It's easy to get the right amount of sleep if you are aware of the time. Simply going to bed a little earlier can help get a good night's sleep. See the video on the importance of sleep.
If there is one or two nights you can't get to sleep, it is not a big problem, but if you have chronic or long term sleep loss, then it can affect weight, blood pressure and wear down your immune system which helps protect against getting sick.
Reasons to get enough sleep every night include better concentration at school, less likely to make mistakes or slip and fall, less stress levels in the body, less chance of catching a disease because immune system is strengthened by rest, and it's just better for us all around and helps learning and memory.
