Rain on My Parade - Dance Competition

This dance to Rain on My Parade by Barbara Streisand was performed at several dance competitions by Katrina.

This high speed acrobatic dance routine incorporates gymnastics, dance and tumbling into a complete acro dance routine performed at dance competitions in Canada and the U.S.

Dance Competitions

Dance competitions many times involve travel and hotels. It is great fun to go out for dinners with other competitive dancers and their families after a long day of dancing.

Getting nervous before a dance routine is a normal part of getting better at performing in front of a live audience. Live performances are best learned by performing live. There comes a time when you can practice at home all you want, but to get to the next level the pressure of performing in front of others and not getting to do it over can really ratchet up your concentration and also help build your performance skills.

Competitive dance sometimes involves learning 10 or more numbers including group dances, duets, trios, small groups and of course the dance solo where all eyes are on one single dancer for the whole song.
