Katrina and Sloane Dance Performances
This is Sloane’s junior tap group performing to the song Boogie Woogie Bugel Boy. They were 10 years old at the time (average age) and performing at a dance competition in Myrtle Beach.
Watch how fast the feet move with this tap number. You have to be very precise and on beat with tap, since the tap sound must be as one – with the feet striking the floor at the same time and with no one off rhythm. It is difficult to do tap, more difficult to do fast tap, and very difficult to do tap as a group with everyone moving and tapping around you at the same time.
Many marching or military beat type songs go really well with tap numbers. The costumes were great for this number as well – a little Sergeant Pepper Lonely Hearts Club Band and a little chic military.
