Cheerleading Stunt

Cheerleading Stunt

This is scary stuff.  The person who is at the top of a pyramid or stack in cheerleader is called the flyer.  They are usually smaller or lighter, to be easier to lift.  These stunt tricks and lifts with a flyer are unreal!

A cheerleading stunt group is usually made up of four bases holding or throwing another cheerleader up high. The bases are the cheerleaders that are postioned on the ground and support the flyer during the whole stunt. The counter is also called a back spot.

The Flyer is the cheerleader that actually gets to take flight. Training your splits and being extremely flexible helps achieve the many stunts a flyer can do.

There are many stunt variations including liberty, liberty cradle, scorpion, torch, thigh stand and other extensions.
