Wushu is a combination of martial arts from China. Wushu combines two disciplines – Sanda, which is sparring, and Taolu, which is movements/form (such as kicking, punching, stances, jumps, sweeps and balances.)
The competitions combine the free sparring with the routine styles in a set time limit, and is scored by judges.
Wushu is a full contact sport. Categories include barehanded combat, short weapons such as knife or double-edged sword, and long weapons like a staff or spear.
